As parents ourselves of 3 kids, we can certainly say that La Tania is a perfect location for a family holiday both in winter and summer.  Here's why we think so ....

La Tania as a winter sports village is basically a large pedestrian precinct where children can move freely and safely.

Our apartment in La Tania is ski in and ski out which saves tired little legs from walking long distances in heavy ski boots to the ski lifts.

La Tania is small and intimate with affordable dining in friendly restaurants where you quickly feel like a local.

There are plenty of good nursery/beginner slopes in the resort.

The majestic trees of the surrounding forests, gentle runs through the trees down to the resort and the dominant wood based architectural style that characterises La Tania give it a magical charm.

The resort organises a lot of events, particularly during the French school holidays. These may include torchlight descents, big-air displays, sledge races, concerts, ice sculpture or an introduction
to the sport of biathlon.

There’s great access to the rest of the levels of Courchevel. Using the free buses, the opportunities to keep the children entertained could involve iceskating, shopping or bowling up in 1850, not forgetting good old bumboarding which you can do closer to home. You could also organise dogsledding with real huskies and there’s often a firework display going on during peak weeks.

Babysitters are available to look after children aged six months and up, while children four and over can attend the ski school's ‘snowgarden’. The Garderie kindergarten welcomes children aged from 4 months upwards. There are also some private nanny companies that operate in the resort.

Available if your child is under 4 years old and would like to try skiing for the first time. No ski pass or poles are required. In a specially protected area featuring special equipment including a rope tow, mini-ski tows, moving carpets, structures and welcoming characters to encourage learning, your child will learn to ski in a relaxed, safe and fun environment.  You can choose morning or afternoons lessons or both.

This ski school has special classes for four and five year olds upwards with a low ratio of staff to children and again operates in a specially designated area away from the main piste.

This kindergarten welcomes your little ones from 4 months upwards and offers a selection of indoor and outdoor activities. Half-days or full days possible with the option of a meal at lunchtime.
